The government paid employers 56 million UAH in compensation for the employment of internally displaced persons
The Ministry of Economy reported that since the beginning of the year, the state has paid employers 56 million UAH under the compensation program for the employment of 2500 internally displaced persons.
'1500 employers have received compensation from the government since the beginning of this year for employing 2500 Ukrainians who were forced to relocate from dangerous regions of the country. 126 of them are people with disabilities. Entrepreneurs have been compensated a total of 56 million UAH. Thanks to the financial support of employers through this program, we help internally displaced persons find jobs faster, adapt to their new place of residence, and be able to provide for themselves and their families,' said Deputy Minister of Economy Tetiana Berezhna.
The highest number of internally displaced persons was employed under this program in Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkiv regions, and Kyiv.
The amount of compensation paid to the employer for the employment of a person who received IDP status after February 24, 2022, is 8 thousand UAH.
To receive compensation, the employer must:
- enter into an employment contract (including part-Time employment), a gig contract with an internally displaced person;
- submit an application for compensation through the Diia Portal or in paper form at the employment center at the place of business activity along with the required document package.
