Germany Reduces Financial Support for Ukrainian Refugees
Germany has decided to reduce financial aid for Ukrainian refugees due to their slow integration into the labor market. This was stated by Deutsche Welle analyst Roman Goncharenko in the "Was ist das?" podcast.
"Germany allocated a lot of funds for the maintenance of these migrants. Now the situation is difficult, the German treasury is not increasing but decreasing. Payments for Ukrainians will be reduced, and they will be encouraged to work independently," said Goncharenko.
According to the analyst, the German authorities will stimulate Ukrainians to seek work and self-sufficiency, considering the economic situation and the need to save money.
Despite this, the employment of Ukrainians in Germany is still ongoing. According to the latest data, about 260,000 Ukrainians are already working in Germany.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Germany has accepted a significant number of refugees, but the current economic situation has forced the government to reconsider its policy on financial aid, leading to an increase in the emigration of Ukrainians to other countries.
