Meteorologists are forecasting abnormally high temperatures in Northern Europe and the Arctic, with deviations of 4-7 degrees. In Central and Western Europe, frequent weather changes are expected due to the dominance of cyclones.
Meteorologist Igor Kibalchich notes that December will be a transitional month from autumn to winter conditions. The coldest temperatures will be in the Carpathians, from -5 to -7 degrees, while the northern and central regions can expect -1 to -4 degrees. The south and Crimea will have warmer weather, with temperatures above 0 degrees.
In the second half of December, intense cyclones and atmospheric fronts are expected. Gusty winds, frequent precipitation in the form of rain and wet snow, as well as a temperature increase of 2-6 degrees above normal are anticipated.
Approximately after the 20th-22nd, a cooling may occur due to the arrival of arctic air from the northwest. The duration and intensity of this phenomenon are difficult to predict, so it is advisable to be prepared for changing weather conditions.
Throughout the month, precipitation is expected to range from 34 to 78 mm, while in mountainous areas it may reach from 81 to 105 mm.
