There are more men than women. Poland counted the number of employed Ukrainians.


In September, over 1.1 million foreigners were insured in Poland, of which 779.3 thousand were from Ukraine. The number of Ukrainians who received insurance policies in Poland decreased from 755 thousand at the beginning of the year to 746 thousand by 2022. Before the war in Ukraine, more than half a million Ukrainians worked in Poland.
Of nearly 780 thousand Ukrainians working in Poland, 406.5 thousand are men and 372.7 thousand are women. The largest number of people aged 30 to 44 work in Poland.
Ukrainians can work in Poland if they are legally residing in the country and have a residence permit, or if they arrived in the country after February 24, 2022, due to military actions.
Research by Randstad showed that 59% of foreign workers who found jobs in Poland want to tie their future to this country. This is particularly true for people with vocational education and foreigners who work in Poland in their respective qualified fields.
In 2023, the average annual salary in the European Union was 37.9 thousand euros, which is 6.5% more than in 2022. The highest salaries are earned by workers in Luxembourg - 81,064 euros, Denmark - 67,604 euros, and Ireland - 58,679 euros.
By 2025, Ukrainian refugees in Poland will be able to easily find work in several industries, including warehouses with various goods, from clothing and pharmaceuticals to printing and warehouses with plastic, rubber, and metal parts.
