Durov's girlfriend claimed that due to his arrest she lost a child.

The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, published a post on his Facebook page describing the events that took place during his detention in Paris. It turned out that he was accompanied by Yulia Vavilova, who had learned of her pregnancy but then lost the child in October. She was released after three hours of detention, but her phones were confiscated. Later it was revealed that Durov could face up to 20 years in prison.
Vavilova was unable to access her accounts due to the lack of electronic devices. Durov also spoke about the pressure exerted on Vavilova, insinuations about her connections with foreign intelligence agencies, and the idea that her posts prompted the police to meet him at the airport.
The police suggested Vavilova come in for questioning, but a doctor advised her to refrain due to stress and the early stages of pregnancy. After Durov's release, he mentioned that he enjoyed Paris with his pregnant girlfriend. However, on October 4, Vavilova learned about the loss of the child and underwent surgery.
Durov also reported that incredible pressure was exerted on Vavilova during his arrest. After being detained, he was charged with six offenses, including administering an online platform for illegal transactions, money laundering, and providing unlawful cryptographic services.
Telegram is now cooperating with the investigation, responding to requests from law enforcement authorities. It was also revealed that the mother of Durov's three children, Irina Bolgar, claimed the requirement to move to the UAE, but when she refused, Durov stopped providing her with financial support.
