The production of 'Iskander' missiles in Russia is significantly dependent on Western technologies. Part of these missiles, produced by the Russian military-industrial complex, is in storage. This was reported by aviation market development expert Bohdan Dolintse on the air of the FREEДОМ TV channel.
He noted that Russia does not have access to many Western technologies, which leads to a reduction in the production volumes of 'Iskander' missiles.
'The second important component is that these missiles are not used very often. This means that part of these missiles is most likely produced for storage, in order to use them in massive attacks in the future, when there will either be a shortage of air defense systems, or after the use of all KN-23 type missiles, on the condition that some part of the air defense missile systems will need to be used to shoot them down. And only after this can there be strikes with the same 'Iskanders' or, for example, the use of the same ballistic missiles, but already in the winter period. The Russians regularly use such types of missiles to strike energy generation and heating supply facilities,' Dolintse noted.
