IAEA Inspects the Condition of Zaporizhzhya NPP
The IAEA mission visited Zaporizhzhya NPP again to see firsthand what is happening there after the recent fire at the cooling tower. Agency specialists carefully inspected the incident site and checked the operation of important station systems such as water pumps and fuel storage. This was reported by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi.
The head of the Agency said that it had been two years since the IAEA established a permanent presence at the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

"During my 5th visit to the site, IAEA experts and I assessed the situation after the August 11 cooling tower fire and the ongoing work on water pumps and fuel storage. It is crucial that the Agency continues its work," Grossi said.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi personally participated in the visit and stressed that it is extremely important for them to continuously monitor the situation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
