The Kursk operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has not yet fully played its role - MP.

The Russian Federation does not intend to transfer its troops from eastern Ukraine to the Kursk region, as they still plan to continue the offensive in the Pokrovsk direction. Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, noted that Ukraine is fighting with limited resources but is ready to make decisions on the supply of resources for defense maintenance.
"If we intend to move forward and hold the defense at any frontier, ready to supply resources, then, in my opinion, the Russians will not take reserves from the main directions ... I think that the enemy will need at least a month to gather something worthy that will at least hold us," - Kostenko said.
Kostenko emphasized that in military affairs, there are many factors that can influence the course of the operation. He also noted that the results in the Kursk region will depend on the development of the situation and its consequences for Russia.
According to him, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine manage to continue advancing in the Kursk region, this may force the Russians to reduce pressure in the Pokrovsk direction and transfer troops back to the Russian Federation.
Kostenko emphasized that Ukraine can find reserves to open new directions, whereas the Russians have already concentrated their forces in the eastern direction. This could shift the initiative to Ukraine's side and force the enemy to make decisions that would favor the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions.
