On the front, the defender of Ukraine, a resident of the village of Ivano-Frankove, soldier of military unit A4165, senior shooter Mykola Kevan was killed. This was reported by the Ivano-Frankivsk settlement council.
Mykola was born on December 19, 1999, in the village of Ivano-Frankove in the Yavoriv district of the Lviv region.
Mykola Kevan was carrying out a combat mission as part of the second airborne platoon's second airborne company's military unit A4165.
Since August 21, 2024, he was considered missing in the area of the village of Bilohorivka in the Sieverodonetsk district of the Luhansk region.
After conducting a DNA examination, it was established that Mykola died as a result of an unknown explosive device being dropped from a drone. The injuries sustained were incompatible with life.
Mykola was a loyal son of Ukraine, a true patriot who bravely fulfilled his military duty until the end
The hero is survived by his father Andriy, mother Oleksandra, sister Olya, and grandmother Melania.
The Main Command also joins in a moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died fighting for their homeland. We remember those killed by Russian invaders, lighting candles in memory and bowing our heads in grief during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the struggle against Russian occupiers and as a result of enemy troops attacking Ukrainian cities and villages.
