Ukrainian athletes became champions at the U-23 European Fencing Championship. Anna Maksymenko won the gold medal in the women's épée competition. In the final, she defeated the reigning European champion, Italy's Gaia Caforio, with a score of 12:11.
The youth continental championship in fencing is taking place, and we wholeheartedly support our athletes in Tallinn. Earlier, Ukrainian fencers had already become world champions among juniors. They defeated the Chinese team with a score of 45:34, which allowed Ukraine to enter the top-5 medal standings.
