The German government announced that it is providing a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which includes Leopard tanks, anti-aircraft installations, and drones. This package contains a large amount of military equipment as well as ammunition.
The court in Lviv decided to keep the suspect in the murder of Professor Iryna Farion in custody until November 17. The suspect's defenders tried to change the preventive measure, but the judge rejected this proposal.
Russian invaders shelled Sumy, resulting in damage to the Sumy geriatric nursing home. One person was killed, and another 12 were injured due to the shelling.
The European Parliament called on EU member states to lift restrictions on the use of long-range weapons against Russia. They also called for the supply of ammunition to Ukraine and to expedite the delivery of weapons and air defense systems.
In Ukraine, a vote was held to rename 328 localities whose names are Russified or contain Soviet symbols. Among them are names dedicated to Moscow figures and Soviet holidays.
