In the city of Bakhmut, which is located in a destroyed zone due to Russian aggression, the invaders have placed banners for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Second World War. This was reported by journalist Denys Kazansky. The Russians have also painted trophy tricolors on streetlights, which, unfortunately, no longer light up. According to Kazansky: 'I never thought I would see such a surreal scene. This is some Russian version of the tale 'There Will Be a Gentle Rain.' Only here, instead of robots in a dead city, there are zombie-like people hanging this propaganda for people who are long gone.' On May 9, Russia will celebrate Victory Day in the Second World War. For this occasion, several foreign leaders will arrive in Moscow, including: - Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, - President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, - President of Brazil Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, - President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, - Chinese leader Xi Jinping, - Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, - self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, - Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, - President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel. Since 2011, a 'Immortal Regiment' march has been held in Russia and beyond, initiated by Russian journalists. It involves descendants of Soviet soldiers and supporters of Russian ideology. This article discusses what happened in Bakhmut as well as future events related to the celebrations of Victory Day in Russia.
