Pensions, utility rates, payments for IDPs, subsidies: what changes await Ukrainians from April 1.

Starting April 1 of this year, there will be changes in Ukraine concerning pensions and insurance payments for various categories of citizens. In particular, it is planned to recalculate pensions for working pensioners, simplify the procedure for receiving pensions and insurance payments for internally displaced persons and Ukrainians living abroad. In April, there is also a plan to increase payments for certain categories of pensioners.
The recalculation of pensions will affect working pensioners who have worked and had a defined experience after the appointment or recalculation of their pension. Pensions will also be recalculated for working pensioners who were appointed or recalculated in 2023. Additionally, pensioners who are 70, 75, or 80 years old will see an increase in payments. In April, new pension payment rules will also be introduced for Ukrainians who are abroad or in temporarily occupied territories. They will have the opportunity to receive payments to any account in a Ukrainian bank.
The mentioned changes also concern insurance payments. Starting March 1, payments for those injured at work and their families will increase. The amount of payments will be determined individually for each recipient.
For internally displaced persons, assistance for living will continue to be provided. The amount of assistance will be 2000 hryvnias for adults and 3000 hryvnias for children and persons with disabilities.
Electricity, heating, and water tariffs will remain unchanged until the end of April. The gas price for household consumers using Naftogaz services will also remain unchanged.
