The advantage of the Russian army in shells has recordly decreased: data from the Ministry of Defense.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, as of today, the Russian army still surpasses the Ukrainian army in terms of the number of artillery shells on the front. But since the winter of 2024, this difference has decreased by almost three times. He added that as of today, the ratio of artillery ammunition usage on the battlefield is 1 to 3, while in the winter of 2024 this ratio was 1 to 8.
Havryliuk also noted that Ukraine finds it difficult to compete with the Russian Federation in the production of weapons, military equipment, and ammunition due to its larger industrial potential. Therefore, foreign partners' help and the effective work of officials are important. He noted that Ukraine is working towards creating joint ventures with partners to be able to produce the necessary range of weapons and military equipment.
It should be reminded that the initial proposals from senior Pentagon officials concerned the transfer of shells with white phosphorus charges to Ukraine, but not for attacks on Russians, but for creating smoke screens and illuminating sections of the front at night.
It is also worth noting that at the beginning of the summer, there were some delays in the supply schedule of ammunition under the Czech initiative, but at present, the transfer of arms is taking place on Time.
According to Handelsblatt, Ukraine received defective ammunition that explodes immediately after being fired. Part of this ammunition comes from the Czech initiative and the USA.
