Latvian Prime Minister Arrives on a Visit to Kyiv.


On Tuesday, July 15, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina arrived in Ukraine for a visit. She came to participate in the ceremony marking the anniversary of Ukrainian statehood.

Silina noted that in addition to participating in the ceremony commemorating the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, she has scheduled meetings with high officials.
“At the invitation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, I have arrived in Kyiv to participate in the ceremony marking the anniversary of Ukrainian statehood and to meet with the high officials of Ukraine,” said Silina.
The head of the Latvian government also stated that Riga will continue to support Kyiv in its struggle for peace.
“Latvia has been, is, and will be alongside Ukraine until a fair and sustainable peace is achieved,” emphasized Silina.
Earlier, during the European Union summit, the Latvian Prime Minister called for maintaining focus on Russia's war against Ukraine and strengthening sanctions pressure on Moscow.
Additionally, it is known that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, met with the Commander of the National Armed Forces of the Republic of Latvia.
Ukraine was visited by Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina, who participated in the ceremony commemorating the anniversary of Ukrainian statehood and confirmed her country's support in the struggle for peace. The visit by the Prime Minister of Latvia to Ukraine signifies support and friendship between Ukraine and Latvia amid geopolitical challenges and the war with the Moscow aggressor.
