The National Security and Defense Council has made a decision to maximize sanctions pressure on Russia to end the war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on social media about the results of the meeting with the European Council and emphasized the importance of security support, pressure on Russia, and the positive assessment of national reforms. According to him, Ukraine will strive to expedite its membership in the European Union, even in wartime conditions. Zelensky also expressed gratitude to European leaders for their support and highlighted the importance of using sanctions pressure on Russia to achieve peace.

The President announced the decision to maximize sanctions pressure on Russia and urged for the activation of diplomatic efforts.
