Fraudsters are once again hunting for Ukrainians' money — who is at risk.

Fraudsters constantly improve their schemes to extort money from Ukrainians. They now thoughtfully use 'monetary reform' for their bloody manipulations of citizens' funds.

This was reported by the Patrol Police of Kyiv on their Telegram channel.

The essence of the intrigue is that unknown individuals convince Ukrainians of the necessity to replace old banknotes with new ones due to the adoption of monetary reform.

'The most common victims of this type of fraud are elderly people,' the law enforcement officers noted.

How to avoid being deceived

The police advise following simple tips to prevent the actions of fraudsters:

• Only let familiar people into your home and trust only those you know;
• Always consult with trusted individuals;
• Inform your relatives about suspicious visits.

The police also urge to contact law enforcement if you have fallen victim to fraudsters. It is worth recalling that earlier there were reports of attempts to withdraw money from a Ukrainian's account through fraud, as well as risks from fake bots on Telegram.

Currently, fraudsters in Ukraine are using 'monetary reform' as a new pretext to deceive trusting citizens and take their money. The police recommend being attentive, not opening the door to strangers, not communicating with suspicious individuals, and immediately reporting any attempts at deception.
