Court detains Deputy Minister of Energy Khail.


Deputy Minister of Energy detained and placed in custody
Deputy Minister of Energy Oleksandr Khail has been detained with a bail set at 25 million UAH. This decision was made by the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court Natalia Movchan.
The duration of the order is until October 8, 2024. If bail is posted, the Deputy Minister of Energy will have certain obligations.
In particular:
- surrender foreign passports;
- wear an electronic bracelet;
- not communicate with witnesses and other suspects.
Recall that today, August 12, the Security Service and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, with the assistance of the Minister of Energy, uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme organized by his deputy. As a result of comprehensive measures, law enforcement officers detained the Deputy Minister of Energy in Kyiv with a bribe of $500 thousand. Oleksandr Khail.
It was also reported that the High Anti-Corruption Court arrested Serhii Pylypchuk, a trusted person of the Deputy Minister of Energy Oleksandr Khail. He was given a bail amount of 65 million UAH.
