In Denmark, Zelensky awarded the 'Future of Ukraine' honor to a foreigner for the first time.

Ukraine honored an 11-year-old volunteer from Denmark for helping Ukrainian children. President Zelensky presented Jens Fog Thomsen with the 'Future of Ukraine' award for his significant contribution. The boy raised funds by making Easter decorations and collected over 34,000 Danish kroner. These funds were used to purchase backpacks and school supplies for Ukrainian children affected by the war.
«You are a great friend of Ukraine. Thank you for the backpacks and for raising funds to help Ukrainian children. All our children are proud to have friends like you from Denmark,» Zelensky said during the ceremony.
The 'Future of Ukraine' award has become a new tradition. 24 Ukrainian children have already received this award. Jens Fog Thomsen is the first foreigner to be awarded this honor by the president, recognizing his substantial contribution to supporting Ukrainian children.
Jens Fog Thomsen demonstrated that anyone can help those in difficult situations and inspired others through his example to engage in similar good deeds. The efforts of this 11-year-old volunteer have made a significant contribution to alleviating the suffering of Ukrainian children who are experiencing the consequences of the war.
