The deputy head of the KMDA revealed when there will be heating in Kyiv's houses
Petro Panteleyev, deputy head of the KMDA, at a briefing spoke about the possible start of the heating season in the capital.
According to him, Kyiv authorities will decide on the start of heating in residential buildings at the end of October or the beginning of November. This will be due to a drop in air temperature.
Panteleyev added that the decision will be made considering weather conditions. According to the standards, the average daily temperature should be 8 degrees or less for three days.
"Now we see warmer weather and it is not advisable to spend 'golden' gas now in wartime. We will be guided by the weather. When there is a tendency for cooling, then we will start the residential fund... In general, the norms require that the average daily temperature be 8 degrees or less for 3 days, then a decision can be made on the start of the heating season. This is the norm, but one can see that there are three cool days, and then quite significant warming, we look at the appropriateness of these steps and do not rush to spend a very valuable energy resource. We see by the trend that somewhere the end of October beginning of November is lower, and then we will decide on the start of the heating season," explained Panteleyev.
Earlier, it was reported in Kyiv about the start of the heating season.
