247 Russian soldiers are in captivity
The Washington Post, having analyzed over a hundred videos and photographs, confirmed that there are at least 247 Russian soldiers in captivity. This information is based on videos taken by Ukrainian soldiers, as well as photographs taken by The Washington Post journalists in a prisoner of war camp where Russian conscripts are held.
Additionally, the article emphasizes that Russian soldiers, especially the young ones, surrender without any resistance. The Washington Post notes that they have been able to verify only a portion of the videos and photographs of the prisoners circulating online, and therefore the number of Russian soldiers captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces could be significantly higher.
