In the USA, police detained a Russian hockey player for a drunken fight.


Russian defender of the NHL club 'Washington' was detained in a state of alcohol intoxication
During a street altercation in the US capital on May 16, police detained Alexander Alexeyev. The player was charged with being in a public place in an intoxicated state.
"At 3:26 AM on May 17, police officers were approached by a witness who reported a fight near the entrance to an establishment. The officers saw the suspect participating in a fight with another man. As the officers approached closer, the suspect struck the other man, and one of the police officers used pepper spray during the arrest. The suspect was given medical assistance on the scene due to the effects of the pepper spray."
Alexeyev was charged with unlawful behavior but was later released. The 'Washington' club is investigating the incident and preparing for a possible court hearing.
