Zelensky's team harshly criticized the meeting between Putin and Guterres.

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, stated that the visit of UN Secretary-General António Guterres to the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, is the final cancellation of the reputation of this organization and its Secretary-General.
According to "Khvylya," he said this on the air of the TV channel "We - Ukraine".
However, Podolyak emphasized that the UN currently has no leverage to influence any situations in the world, so this visit will not affect the war in Ukraine. He also expressed confidence that Guterres' meeting with Russian dictator Putin was meaningless.
Moreover, according to the advisor to the Head of the Office, the UN will seek ways to get out of this situation. Overall, the current events appear to be the final destruction of the UN as an international organization.
Furthermore, the UN today lacks the leverage to influence various crisis situations, which is now evident. It cannot stop not just wars, but minor escalations. What to say about large-scale wars that we see today in Eastern Europe. The UN does not have the tools even to deprive a country that demonstratively nullifies the UN charter, of the right to be present both in the UN Security Council and in the UN General Assembly. Therefore, this visit will not affect the course of events in the war, Russia's position, Ukraine's position, or the formation of the possibility of holding negotiations based on international law," he explained.
Podolyak also expressed the opinion that the UN Secretary-General's visit to the aggressor country and his bow to Putin, for whom the ICC has issued an arrest warrant, signals the "final nullification of the UN's reputation and that of Mr. Guterres personally.
Recall that the media and diplomats criticized UN Secretary-General Guterres for his visit to Russia.
