Ukraine sent one of the most powerful brigades to Kursk region – Forbes.

The Ukrainian 80th Air Assault Brigade has joined the special operation in Kursk region. This brigade is one of the best-equipped and fastest in Ukraine. Ukrainian vehicles have been seen passing by a Russian mortar brigade, indicating the start of the Ukrainian offensive. The involvement of the 80th Assault Brigade underscores the scale of the operation.
This operation differs from previous raids across the border into southern Russia. At least three brigades, each numbering up to 2000 servicemen, are involved. However, Ukrainians face a powerful Russian military group numbering 48,000 servicemen.
Currently, the Russian military group is bogged down in Vovchansk, which contributes to the successful continuation of the Ukrainian invasion into Kursk region. The outcome of the operation depends on the speed of the Russian group’s advance to Sudzha. The offensive on Kursk shows Russia's inability to learn the lessons of a similar capture group from the past century.
