Ukraine Risks Becoming Trump's 'Vietnam' — Bannon.

Former chief strategist of Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, has made a prediction regarding the future relations between Donald Trump and Ukraine. He warned that Trump may become a victim of failures in these relations, which will lead to even greater involvement in a military conflict with Russia. Bannon compared this situation to how Richard Nixon became a victim of attempts to withdraw the US from Vietnam.
The strategist advocates for the cessation of American military aid to Ukraine, but at the same Time fears that Trump could fall into a trap set by an alliance of the defense industry, European countries, and certain individuals from his entourage. Among them, he mentioned Keith Kellogg, whom Trump appointed as special representative for Ukraine and Russia.
If we are not careful, this will turn into Vietnam for Trump. This is what happened to Richard Nixon. He became the face of this war, and it became his war, not Lyndon Johnson's.
Kellogg emphasizes that any agreement must include reliable security guarantees for Ukraine, so that Russia cannot easily invade again. He also speaks of the need to maintain American military aid to pressure Moscow and compel it to agree to the negotiated terms.
According to Bannon, any delay in decision-making will lead to an increased risk of the US becoming involved in a war that he considers unwinnable and disadvantageous to America's national interests.
However, Bannon also notes that he is not an advocate of the Russian leader.
Putin is a bad guy. He is a very bad guy. The KGB are bad guys. But I am not concerned about Russian influence in Europe. They do not consider Russia a real threat. If that were the case, they would have invested much more money and troops.
