Ukraine can get through winter without power outages under one condition – Halushchenko.

Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko stated that Ukraine can get through the winter of 2024-2025 without power outages if the Russians do not destroy existing critical energy infrastructure facilities following previous attacks.
The minister made this statement during the "Energy Business 2024" forum organized by Forbes in Kyiv.
A recent UN report assessed the possible duration of power outages in the winter period from four to 18 hours per day.
“We asked their representatives to find out where these figures came from. It turned out that they have no real arguments,” Halushchenko said.
According to the minister, possible power outages in winter will be limited to emergency repairs and will not have a systemic nature.
Although Ukraine will receive equipment for distributed power generation with a total capacity of over 1 GW by the end of the year, its full commissioning by 2024 is impossible.
