Who can go abroad during martial law in Ukraine?
When martial law is introduced in Ukraine, some people can still go abroad. Among them are people who are not subject to mobilization or have a deferral.
Among the categories of people who can get permission to leave are:
- Men with disabilities - provided they have official documents confirming the disability.
- Parents and guardians of children with special needs - with documents confirming the child's disability and kinship or guardianship.
- Men who care for relatives with disabilities - provided there is a person with a disability of group I or II in the family.
- Parents with many children - who raise three or more children under 18 years of age.
- Adoptive parents and guardians - when there is a need for treatment or special care for the child.
- Full-Time students - to continue their studies abroad.
- International drivers - when engaged in international transportation and having the appropriate documents.
- Diplomats and their family members - employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of Ukraine abroad.
- Men aged 18 to 22 years who are studying in higher education institutions in Ukraine and are participants in educational academic programs directed for studies to foreign educational institutions.
It should be noted that regardless of the category of a person, a special exit permit must be obtained, which is often issued for 6 months.
Also, servicemen of Ukraine can get a leave abroad, but there are categories of citizens who do not have the right to leave.
