The oldest man in the world possibly found in Afghanistan.

Akel Nazir, a centenarian living in Khost province, Afghanistan, is believed to be 140 years old. His family is trying to officially confirm his age so that he can become the oldest person on the planet.
Akel Nazir recalls clearly the period of King Amanullah Khan's rule (1919-1929) and the celebration of Afghanistan's Independence Day from Great Britain in 1919, when he was about 30 years old.
“I was in the palace with King Amanullah Khan. Everyone was happy and thanked King Amanullah Khan for driving out the British,” said Nazir.
Akel Nazir's family counts more than 100 members, and his grandchildren already have their own children.
A special group has been formed to verify Nazir's age. If confirmed, he will receive special medical assistance, and his name will be recorded in the world records.
Currently, the oldest person known in history is French citizen Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 at the age of 122 years and 164 days.
A woman who was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the oldest person on Earth has already passed away in Japan.
