Unknown individuals attacked a soldier in Ivano-Frankivsk
On Wednesday, September 11, in Ivano-Frankivsk, unknown individuals attacked a man in military uniform. Investigators are determining the soldier's whereabouts, the reasons for the fight, and all participants. This was reported by the police.
According to police information, a witness of the event called the police department and reported about the fight between young men and the soldier.
An eyewitness of the situation filmed a part of the clash on a mobile phone and handed the video over to the investigators. The police promptly arrived at the scene.
The police identified several witnesses of the conflict. They were questioned. The identity of the victim was also established. It concerns a 40-year-old combatant. The man has not yet contacted the police. The police are taking measures to determine the victim's whereabouts.
Currently, investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 296 (Hooliganism committed by a group of people) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Earlier, on September 10, in Kyiv, unknown individuals attacked a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near St. Michael's Cathedral. The police are currently investigating the circumstances of that incident.
Also, after the beating of a veteran in the city of Smila, the police have already detained the suspect and initiated criminal proceedings against him. Such cases provoke a sharp public reaction and attract the attention of relevant government bodies.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police of Ukraine also expressed their reaction to these events.
