Prices for products in Ukraine

Ukrainian citizens were shown how the prices for potatoes, onions, cucumbers, carrots, and meat have changed. According to data from the Minfin portal, the Capital Market, and the Odessa market 'Pochatok', there were certain changes in the prices of essential food products in April 2025 compared to March.

Prices in Supermarkets

Regular potatoes can be purchased at an average of 32.90 UAH per kilogram. The lowest price is offered by Metro - 29.90 UAH, Auchan - 29.80 UAH, while the highest - Megamarket - 39.00 UAH. Young potatoes can be bought for 42.60 UAH per kilogram at Auchan, while pink potatoes are 37.64 UAH per kilogram.

Onions also changed their price. White onions cost 103.90 UAH per kilogram at Metro, while bulb onions range from 24.89 UAH at Novus to 42.60 UAH at Megamarket.

Prices for cucumbers depend on the type and place of purchase. Smooth cucumbers cost an average of 106.27 UAH per kilogram, spiky ones - 79.90 UAH, short-fruited - 99.00 UAH, and the 'Estafeta' variety - 122.35 UAH.

Carrots have prices ranging from 39.90 UAH at Metro and Auchan to 51.00 UAH at Megamarket.

Beef remains an expensive product with varying prices, from 313.09 UAH at Metro to 375.00 UAH at Megamarket. Beef ribs can be purchased for an average price of 196.95 UAH per kilogram.

Capital Market

At the capital market, greenhouse cucumbers can be purchased at a price of 35 to 45 UAH per kilogram, while the 'Estafeta' variety ranges from 70 to 80 UAH per kilogram.

Regular potatoes can be bought at a price of 24 to 26 UAH per kilogram, while young potatoes - from 130 to 170 UAH per kilogram.

Prices for bulb onions fluctuate from 22 to 27 UAH per kilogram, while for carrots - from 43 to 45 UAH per kilogram.

Prices for the rear part of beef range from 290 to 310 UAH per kilogram, shoulder - from 265 to 280 UAH per kilogram, neck - from 220 to 230 UAH per kilogram, and ribs - from 140 to 155 UAH per kilogram.

Odessa Market 'Pochatok'

At the Odessa market 'Pochatok', old potatoes can be purchased at a price of 45 to 50 UAH per kilogram, while young ones - for 130 UAH per kilogram.

The price for white cabbage is 65 UAH per kilogram.

Young carrots can be bought for 45 UAH per kilogram.

Prices for regular onions range from 30 to 40 UAH per kilogram, while for lettuce - from 50 to 80 UAH per kilogram.

Prices for the rear part of beef start from 240 and reach 250 UAH per kilogram. Fillet is sold for 500 UAH per kilogram, shoulder - from 230 to 270 UAH per kilogram, ribs - from 120 to 150 UAH per kilogram.
