Meat production is rising in Ukraine.
United Airlines has announced that passengers will be able to enjoy free Wi-Fi on board starting in February thanks to the satellite service Starlink from SpaceX, the company of Elon Musk.
This will be possible due to the first United Airlines aircraft equipped with the FAA-approved Starlink system, the airline from Chicago reported on Monday. The first commercial flight is scheduled for May, just eight months after the agreement with the SpaceX subsidiary was signed.
United Airlines promised that the first passengers to access the new technology will be on board the United Express Embraer 175 aircraft. 'We know that customers will love this experience, and we think it's another reason to choose United,' said United's Chief Digital Technology Officer McCain Wheels.
United plans to roll out the technology for Embraer 175 models with internet speeds 50 times faster than the current regional jets. Access to Starlink will be free and available to all customers with MileagePlus membership, which is also free.
United plans to install Starlink systems on board about 40 Embraer 175 regional jets each month and expects them to be ready by next year. Additionally, the airline will continue to work with Starlink to secure FAA approval for more than 16 models of United aircraft.
