In January, he fell ill with bronchitis, but his condition gradually worsened, and doctors diagnosed him with bilateral pneumonia. Specifically, on February 9, the pontiff was unable to finish his sermon due to breathing difficulties.
Earlier, it was reported that the Pope mentioned Ukraine during his reflections during the Sunday prayer 'Angelus'. Last Sunday, March 9, he called for prayers for peace for 'suffering Ukraine', as well as Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
