New social standards for gas consumption established for Ukrainians: what you need to know.

Ukraine has adopted new gas consumption norms for the population according to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 409. Now calculations will be made taking into account the categories of consumers and living conditions.
New monthly gas consumption norms per person:
- With a gas stove and centralized hot water supply - 3.3 m³
- If there is a gas stove, but no central hot water supply and gas water heater - 5.4 m³
- With a gas stove and gas water heater - 10.5 m³
Regarding heating, the norm is 4 m³ per square meter of heated area each month during the heating season, taking into account the region and type of building.
Gas prices in Ukraine have risen to 23,000 hryvnias per thousand cubic meters, including VAT. The tariff for the population, maintained by Naftogaz of Ukraine, remains at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter. Import of gas through the Trans-Balkan corridor has also begun as an additional source of supply.
It should be noted that a possible gas shortage may affect the heating season due to insufficient funds for purchasing the necessary volumes.
The state has established new gas consumption norms for the population, considering living conditions and consumer categories. Along with rising gas prices and imports through new sources, a possible fuel shortage may complicate the heating season in the country.Read also
