Killed by sniper's hands two days after the proposal. Let's remember Yulia Pasternak.


Commemoration of the War
Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of the victims of the war with Russia. Today we remember Yulia Pasternak.
According to the accounts of comrades, on April 22, during a battle near the settlement of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region, Yulia crawled to retrieve a heavily wounded Ukrainian soldier from the line of fire. She had clear distinguishing signs of the Red Cross on her. However, she was killed by an enemy sniper, violating all laws of warfare. The woman's body was never found.
Yulia was born on July 18, 1982, in Kam'yanka, Cherkasy region. She graduated from the Kremenchuk Medical College and worked for a long Time as an emergency medic in her hometown.
Colleagues recall that they always looked up to her and remember Yulia as a very important person. She was always positive, always inspired others, and provided good advice. She also promoted Polish culture in Kam'yanka and received gratitude for her contribution to its development.
Mother and Medic
Yulia had two children, a son and a daughter. She always gave them her best and built a happy childhood. She was a loving mother and always strived for her children to have the best. She always wished to travel and learn something new.
Warrior and Medic
In November 2020, Yulia signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and became a combat medic. She fought in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. On the front, she saved the wounded and did good.
Yulia was engaged to Igor, and they dreamed of getting married and having children. But war took these plans away. Yulia was killed on April 22 during a battle when she was trying to save a wounded soldier.
After Yulia's death, her fiancé also perished. His heart could not withstand the loss of his beloved. The war took them both.
Yulia Pasternak is a true heroine and medic who gave her life for others. Her memory will always live in the hearts of Ukrainians.
