Zelensky and Trump discussed the replacement of Ukraine's ambassador to the US, — media.


During the last conversation, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with the leader of the United States the replacement of the Ukrainian ambassador in the States. Currently, the position is held by Oksana Markarova.
Replacement of the Ukrainian ambassador to the US
Bloomberg reported this, citing a source on Monday, July 7.
The last phone conversation between Zelensky and Trump took place on July 4. A Bloomberg interlocutor said that the list of candidates for the ambassador position includes:
- Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal;
- Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna;
- Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov;
- Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko.
According to media sources, Zelensky instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss the appointment of a new ambassador with US representatives. Recall that on July 4, Zelensky had a conversation with Trump. In particular, the parties discussed the situation at the front and possibilities for air defense.
Trump noted that the conversation was good and strategic. The leaders discussed many topics.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with American President Donald Trump the possible replacement of the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States. Currently, Oksana Markarova remains in the position. Among the candidates for the ambassador position are noted Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and several ministers of the government. Zelensky instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to negotiate with the American side on this issue after a phone conversation that took place on July 4.
