The USA discusses the possibility of deploying foreign troops in western Ukraine

U.S. Special Representative Keith Kellogg stated that during discussions on potential resolution of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the option of deploying military contingents from foreign states in the west of the Dnipro River is being considered. He emphasized that the first priority should be a complete ceasefire, after which the parties can discuss other key issues.

Among them are the status of occupied territories, the situation around the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the return of abducted Ukrainian children, and the prospects of Ukraine joining NATO. Kellogg also noted that the eastern regions may be under the supervision of international peacekeepers.

'We are talking about 'resilience forces'. These are the British, the French, the Germans, and now also the Poles, who could deploy their contingents west of the Dnipro River, that is, outside the reach of Russian troops,' Kellogg explained.

However, the idea of Poland participating in such forces contradicts Warsaw's official position, which refuses to send its troops to Ukraine. Currently, U.S. representatives are preparing for negotiations in Istanbul, where Donald Trump's participation may depend on Putin's presence.
