The President emphasized the importance of negotiations with Putin
During his evening address, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that direct negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin are necessary to achieve a stable ceasefire. He emphasized Ukraine's readiness for a constructive dialogue, mentioning the recent Russian shelling of an energy facility in Kharkiv.
'Ukraine is absolutely ready for a truly effective conversation format,' Zelensky emphasized.
The President also thanked the leaders of Northern Europe and the Baltic states for their support of peace initiatives and stated that the final decision regarding the war depends on Putin.

Zelensky reported that social payments in Ukraine continue despite the war and political challenges. He also noted that the government is fighting against shadow schemes and supports financial stability. Andriy Ermak, head of the President's Office, confirmed Zelensky's openness to international negotiations, even without Putin's official consent.
