A new border crossing has been opened between Ukraine and Hungary.


Ukraine and Hungary have opened a new border crossing 'Velika Palad' - 'Nod'godosh', which is intended for automotive and passenger traffic. This new border crossing will increase the annual capacity of the border between Ukraine and Hungary by 70 thousand vehicles and 220 thousand pedestrians.
'This is part of a comprehensive policy for modernizing border infrastructure. Our goal is to update 29 border crossings and build 17 new ones by 2030,' said Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.
Joint customs and border control with neighboring countries, modernization of technical infrastructure, and digitalization are also planned at the western border. These are important measures to improve the functioning of border checkpoints and to ensure comfort for passengers and vehicles crossing the border.
